Fire Risk Assessments
The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 is the legislation which requires a Fire Risk Assessment to be carried out and applies to virtually every place of work.
These risk assessments must be carried out and reviewed regularly in order to comply with legislation and keep your premises safe, usually on an annual basis.

Kitchen Fire Suppression
Modern kitchens are often a prime threat in terms of fires because they have constant high temperatures and flammable liquids. There are currently three LPS 1223 approved kitchen fire suppression systems on the market to help you protect your kitchen and those who work in it. These are the Ansul R102, Amerex KP and SafetyChef Kitchen Fire Suppression Systems. All three are effective in suppressing commercial kitchen range fires, with detection and suppression options available to suit any scenario possible.

Water Mist Fire Suppression
FSE is utilising one of the industry’s most progressive patented technologies to create dry mist for water mist fire suppression. Using water and our specialist, low pressure technology we are able to achieve a 25 micron or less droplet size, compared to the industry average of 100 micron.
This means that the water mist fire suppression takes place by not only cooling the fire, but also starving the fire of oxygen, resulting in far less damage than with a traditional sprinkler system.

Industrial Fire Suppression
FSE have enormous experience in fire suppression for the catering industry as well as specialist applications for industry, printing presses, CNC lathes and other specialist production equipment.
Design, installation and commissioning is carried out in accordance with BS 5306-4:2001. Our engineers are always highly trained, providing successful fire suppression systems to a range of clients, and who can provide recognised industry accreditation’s on request.

Dry Risers & Fire Hydrant Testing
Dry Riser Systems are used to protect industrial and high-rise buildings. FSE provides a full in house dry riser service, not sub-contracted and in accordance with BS5990 standards. Dry riser mains are an excellent means of fire protection, allowing considerable quantities of water to be quickly and directly transporting to relevant locations.

Intruder Alarm Systems, CCTV & Door Systems
A professionally installed intruder alarm could make a tremendous difference to the security of your home or business. Recent studies suggest that homes protected by intruder alarms are 60% less likely to be targeted by criminals and the noise generated by alarms is a proven deterrent to potential thieves.
Having a professionally installed and maintained intruder alarm could also help reduce your insurance premiums.

Fixed Wire & PAT Testing
Fixed Wire and Portable Appliance Testing (PAT testing) are the careful systematic checking of any electrical equipment, services or systems which have a plug and conduct electricity in a building. These tests ensure that such equipment is safe to use.
Our engineers will interpret the results of the Fixed Wire and PAT tests to let you know whether your electrical appliances are safe to use.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 has made fire training a legal requirement for companies. FSE provides expertly delivered in-house training packages nationwide at our customer’s premises to minimise working disruption. Our programmes can be tailored to suit individuals’ and companies’ needs in terms of fire safety and dealing with the potential risks at your workplace.

Fire Doors
The purpose of a fire door is to help protect those who use the building whether it be a commercial premises or residential building. Fire doors are part of a building’s passive fire protection system, an essential requirement for ALL public buildings, offices and factories.

Fire Stopping Systems
Fire stopping systems are items which increase fire-resistance by reducing the ability of fire to spread throughout a building or an area. The main benefit of using fire stopping systems and passive fire protection systems is that in the event of a fire it is contained in just one area - one room for as long a period of time as possible. This has the obvious benefits of allowing more time for a safe evacuation and more time for fire fighters to get to the scene, as well as greatly reducing the damage caused by the fire spreading.
